For nearly three years, you have walked alongside us in our journey to provide more school choice in North Carolina through Wake Preparatory Academy, a K-12 tuition-free public charter school. Although we have met challenges along the way, we remain steadfast to opening the school in the fall of 2022 and delivering upon our mission to provide a challenging, individualized education program with a moral focus while preparing students to graduate from high school with paths to acceptance and success in college, a career and beyond.
Among our challenges ahead is gaining the Town of Wake Forest’s approval for the proposed site plan. Nevertheless, we push on and have filed an appeal with the Wake County Superior Court to overturn its recent decision to deny our site plan application and grant permissions to build the new school on its currently planned site, on Harris Road. We believe that by late spring, a decision will be made in favor of our appeal, and we can begin to break ground. Thank you for your continued support these past few years; we couldn’t have made it this far without you! As more information becomes available, we will be sure to share it with you. In the meantime, we encourage you to continue letting your voice be heard on Wake Preparatory Academy’s Facebook page. As always, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or comments at info@wakeprep.org. |
