Krista Wyman, Wake Preparatory Academy Director 7-12

Krista Wyman, Director 7-12

Krista Wyman has always been a believer in high quality education. She has served in the classroom as an effective high school teacher for eighteen years,  and was fortunate to teach a variety of subjects including science, health sciences, and psychology.  Sixteen of those years were here in Wake County public and charter schools.  Ms. Wyman then served as Dean of Students  and followed as Assistant Director of Academics.  Ms. Wyman helped the administrative team open Wake Preparatory for the 22-23 school year with great success.

Ms. Wyman grew up in a small town in Canada. She earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Western Ontario, before moving to the United States in 1997.  Later, she completed a teaching certification at Florida Southern College.  In 2003 Krista moved to North Carolina and proudly became an American citizen!

Ms. Wyman is part of a large extended family and has two children of her own: Hudson and Ethan.  Family is an important part of her life and she appreciates spending quality time with family.

Additionally she is very active and enjoy’s crossfit, mountain biking, hiking and traveling.   She is an adventure seeker and looks forward to this new journey as the Director for 7-12 at Wake Preparatory Academy.

Crystal Cleveland, Director K-6 at Wake Prep Academy

Crystal Cleveland, Director K-6

Ms. Cleveland is a proud New Jersey native who loves everything the East Coast has to offer.

She received her degree from Southern Virginia University and ventured out west to see the adventures it had to offer. She joined the Charter One family in Arizona and has had the privilege of serving its families for the past five years, During that time she had the chance to R.A.I.S.E little leaders from kindergarten to fourth grade. She has enjoyed working with students, watching them challenge themselves in the classroom, and finding joy in their learning. She is thrilled to be a part of building Wake Prep Academy in North Carolina.

In her spare time, she aims to finish a novel a month preferably on the beach. She enjoys traveling and exploring new places while cheering on the Duke Blue Devils.
